AA / Diyarbakir (Turkey)

The protest sit-in by the Mothers of Diyarbakir, in south-eastern Turkey, in front of the office of the People’s Democratic Party (HDP), continues for its 791st day in a row, since September 3 2019.

Rahime Tasci, originally from the city of Kars (northeast), joined the movement in the hope of finding his son Faruk kidnapped at the age of 15.

Asked by the Anadolu Agency (AA), Tasci said she will not leave the sit-in until her child returns.

“The HDP kidnapped my son and handed him over to the PKK. I want my child! My son, we’ve been waiting for you for eight years. Come back, do yourself to justice,” she added.

Serdar Yildiz, for his part, is fighting for his brother Mahsun, who was kidnapped six years ago when he was 17.

“The HDP is responsible for the kidnapping of my brother. It was he who took it from us and handed it over to the PKK. We are determined, we will go to the end to find them,” he said. he launched by calling his brother to surrender to the police.
