Turkey welcomes the support provided by Togo in the fight against the terrorist organization FETÖ.
This was stated by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during talks with his Togolese counterpart Fore Essosimna Gnassingbe in the Togolese capital, Lome.
“Togo’s support in the context of our fight against FETÖ is admirable,” the Turkish leader said in particular.
According to him, Turkey seeks that “friendly countries are also cleared of the disaster called FETÖ.” “I hope we will achieve this,” the head of state added.
The head of state noted that Ankara is ready to take steps towards cooperation in the field of military security so that “terrorism does not penetrate this region.” “Turkey will always support Togo in this matter,” President Erdogan assured.
The Turkish leader also said that Turkey and the Turkic Council intend to donate vaccines against COVID-19 for countries on the African continent such as Togo, Burkina Faso and Liberia in the near future.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Togo as part of a four-day tour of African countries. The Turkish leader visited Angola the day before. Following Togo, the Turkish President will hold talks in Nigeria.
