AA / Diyarbakir (Turkey)
The protest sit-in by the “Mothers of Diyarbakir” in south-eastern Turkey in front of the office of the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) continues for its 701st day.
Families have been fighting terrorism since September 3, 2019 to find their children abducted by the HDP and then handed over to the PKK.
Zekiye Bozdag joined the demonstration to find his little brother Suleyman Cetinkaya. She explains that she has not heard from her brother since August 30, 2019.
“My brother was taken to the mountains by the HDP after being deceived. We looked for him in the HDP building. They told us they didn’t know him, and they sent my brother from there – low. The surveillance videos prove it, “she said.
“We came here with my family on September 3, 2019. From that day on, we continue our sit-in. We hope all the children will surrender as soon as possible. I will not leave here without taking my brother back. we will continue this sit-in until the return of the last child, ”she said with determination.
“Suleyman, if you see me, if you hear me, do yourself to justice,” she said.
For his part, Nusrettin Odumlu, claimed to participate in the sit-in for his son Yusuf, kidnapped when he was only 16 years old.
“They deceived him and took him to the mountains. I haven’t heard his voice for eight years. I don’t even know if he’s alive or not. Last week, three children came home, this is us. Motivated. We want our children from the HDP. We will not go home until they give us our children back, “he said.
