Turkey has administered more than 110.3 million vaccines against the coronavirus since the launch of the vaccination campaign in January, according to official data released on Sunday.
More than 54 million people have received a first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while some 45 million are fully vaccinated, the health ministry said.
According to the health ministry, some 87.06% of Turkey’s adult population has now received at least one dose of a two-dose vaccine.
Turkey also administered a third booster injection to more than 10.4 million people.
The ministry recorded 27,351 new coronavirus contaminations, 194 deaths and 22,004 healings in the past 24 hours.
No less than 348,462 virus tests were carried out during the last day.
Since December 2019, the pandemic has killed nearly 4.8 million people in at least 192 countries and regions around the world, with more than 234.8 million cases reported worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University.
