According to official data released on Sunday, Turkey has administered more than 112.36 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine since the country launched its vaccination campaign in January.
More than 54.49 million people have received a first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while around 46.24 million people are fully vaccinated, according to the health ministry.
Turkey also administered a third booster dose to more than 10.74 million people.
In addition, the ministry recorded 28,370 new infections and 196 deaths linked to the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, while 25,772 people have recovered.
No less than 344,280 tests for the virus were carried out during the last day.
Since December 2019, the pandemic has killed more than 4.85 million people in at least 192 countries and regions around the world, with more than 237 million cases reported worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University.
