Turkey and Kyrgyzstan intend to strengthen cooperation

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was reported on Monday, August 30, on the official website of the head of the Kyrgyz state.

The leaders of the two countries discussed topical issues of cooperation in political, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

Erdogan warmly congratulated his colleague on the upcoming 30th anniversary of the country’s independence.

The Turkish leader expressed his readiness to continue joint cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

Japarov highly appreciated Erdogan’s significant contribution to the development of strategic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey and the strengthening of relations between the countries.

The President thanked Erdogan for congratulating on the Independence Day of Kyrgyzstan and, in turn, congratulated the people of Turkey on Victory Day, which is celebrated on August 30.

Japarov also expressed gratitude for the opening of the monument to Manas the Magnanimous in the city of Ankara, which is scheduled for tomorrow and timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to Japarov, this event is of great symbolic significance for Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, the conversation touched upon the topic of restoring damaged houses during the events on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border in the Batken region, in which Turkey provided all possible support and assistance.
