Turkey and Italy will reach a record trade volume of more than $ 20 billion, according to expectations.
The president of the Association of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Italy, Livio Manzini spoke at a forum held in Istanbul on Friday.
He asserted that Turkey and Italy are two allied countries which cooperate to ensure peace and stability in their region.
Manzini praised the well-balanced and deep trade relations between Rome and Ankara.
“We expect more than $ 20 billion in trade volume this year,” he said.
Manzini added that Italy visibly and strongly supports Turkey’s membership of the European Union (EU).
For his part, the Italian Ambassador to Ankara, Massimo Gaiani, emphasized the trust between the two countries.
He pointed out that the post-pandemic context has offered many opportunities for trade relations between Turkey and Italy.
“Turkey is a real positive partner,” he said. , we have once again understood the importance of transformation and technology. “
