Tunisia received this Wednesday a new batch of medical equipment provided by Saudi Arabia, as part of its support for the national effort to fight the coronavirus pandemic, indicates a press release issued by the Presidency of the Republic. .
The Tunisian Presidency addressed its thanks and gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its firm position alongside Tunisia in this difficult epidemiological situation and “the continuation of its noble outpouring of solidarity which will strengthen the bonds of fraternity and synergy between the two brother peoples “.
These medical equipment and oxygen concentrators were handed over in the presence of the first advisor to the President of the Republic in charge of national security, the director of military health and the Saudi ambassador to Tunisia.
Note that the Tunisian Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday, having recorded 2,134 new Covid-19 contaminations out of a total of 13,691 screening tests carried out on August 30, 2021, thus bringing the toll of infections to 666,168 cases, ie a positivity rate of 15.59%.
