Trump’s apotheosis is the triumph of the will of a reptilian right that has ritually executed the mammalian right that the centennial Republican pachyderm embodied. Goodbye to the GOP (Grand Old Party). Something cheered by crowds in Milwaukee making Trump the new Caesar.
A decision that has led the candidate to brandish the scepter of the ideological chainsaw of the alternative right to tear apart the old conservative elephant. A slow-motion sequence in his presidential speech. In it, Trump has taken the pieces of the gigantic mammal of the past, to throw them to the MAGA alligators (Make America Great Again). With this feast of teeth, Trump has cancelled the classic right and proclaimed another that, like the reptilian brain, is instinctively programmed to survive and win in the permanent cultural war that he promises as punishment for his enemies if he reaches the White House.
The significance of the phenomenon will be seen over time if there is no miracle like in the second round of the French legislative elections. Something that would have to happen on August 19 at the Democratic convention with the resignation of Biden. However, we do not know if this change of script will be enough to prevent Trump’s victory. The underlying trend is very powerful. Added to it is the ideological earthquake in Milwaukee, which operates as a powerful intuitive cluster bomb that destroys the liberal rationality that legitimizes democracy to show it as an outdated, intellectual, elitist, counter-intuitive and inefficient artifice. With its denunciation it wants to attract the majority to the order and security of a leadership that emulates Washington to fight the Chinese, expel undocumented migrants and prevent the white middle class from becoming proletarianized.
Trump’s strength lies in offering an authoritarian democracy that is free from the heavy formal burden of liberalism. He wants to govern from an ecosystem of alerts based on the immediacy of intuition, emotional discomfort and nostalgia for command. A survival policy that does not explain, but convinces; that fanaticizes and does not doubt; that decides and does not deliberate because the survival of the United States and the preservation of its space of global hegemony are at stake. To do so, Trump will combat the fears of the electoral base of which he is the spokesman and guru: the MAGA. A sociological confluence that brings together the white, Christian, professional and working middle classes of the country. Mainly from the Midwest and, more specifically, from the rust belt that sews both coasts.
A platform that acts as the heart that pumps the lies through the networks and which has shown its heir Vance as one of them. Someone who had the decency to fall off the horse of the old GOP to be the heir of the MAGA.
What has he told them? That he is the undisputed leader of the white middle classes. That he will fight to reverse the fears that arise from earning less and less and losing more and more influence without getting anything in return, while suffering growing hostility from the rest for having been in the past the social base that made America great.
Knowing what’s happening outside means understanding what’s going to happen inside, so don’t miss anything.

That’s why the GOP’s conservatism was a hindrance and had to be eliminated. Because the cultural war was not against the left. This was the excuse to wage war on the right that dressed itself as a centrist by reaching consensus with a left that did the same from the other side.
The cultural war has been the reptilian chainsaw that has cut off the head of the mammal that thought about the importance of preserving the unity of the nation and the consensus that brought social peace since Lincoln. That is why the right that Trump represents is not compassionate. Nor does it care for unity by protecting the disadvantaged or correcting inequality. It is not educated and even less tolerant when it comes to conversation. It wants to work so that a majority minority that wants to fight and settle scores rules. And for that, the best thing is to imitate the alligator and not the elephant. To be a reptile and not a mammal.
