Donald Trump signed a record number of executive orders, just hours after being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, to the cheers of a large crowd. He later continued to sign additional orders at the White House.
Immediately following his inauguration, Trump delivered his inaugural address, in which he outlined several sweeping executive actions to be taken on his first day. After the presidential parade, he gave another speech in which he signed nearly 80 orders aimed at reversing actions taken by the Biden administration. Before the signing, Trump said, “We will be signing the first executive orders to undo nearly 80 destructive and radical actions of the previous administration.”
