Transport ministers of the Turkic Council countries will meet in Hungary


The fifth meeting of the ministers of transport of the member countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (Turkic Council) will be held on October 14 in the capital of Hungary, Budapest.

As reported in the Turkic Council, the representative of Turkey in the Council of Elders under the organization of Binali Yildirim will be the guest of honor at the meeting.

The meeting will address issues such as measures to be taken to facilitate transport and transit operations along the Trans-Caspian International Central Transport Corridor East-West in the post-pandemic period; an introductory tour of the caravan planned through the Middle Corridor; implementation of eTIR, ePermit and eCMR applications.

The meeting will also discuss the issue of digitalization of transport and transit procedures between the member countries of the Council.

In addition, representatives of the Turkish port of Samsun will present a presentation “The current state of cooperation between twin ports of the Turkic Council, projects for the future and their contribution to the development of the Trans-Caspian corridor”.

There will also be a ceremony of signing an agreement on the participation of the Turkish port of Mersin and three logistics centers of Uzbekistan in the Memorandum of Understanding on twinning relations and cooperation between the ports of the Turkic Council member states.

Before the meeting of the ministers of transport, the 10th meeting of the Working Group of Experts of the Ministries of Transport of the Turkic Council member countries will take place.
