On the other hand, NDA MPs protested in the Parliament complex and accused the Congress party of insulting Dr. BR Ambedkar.

It is noteworthy that an FIR was lodged against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on December 19. Actually, there was a scuffle between the MPs of the party and the opposition at Makar Gate. Odisha’s Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi and Farrukhabad BJP MP Mukesh Rajput were injured. Both the leaders suffered head injuries, after which they were admitted.
Both the MPs had accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of pushing them. After the incident, BJP MPs Anurag Thakur and Bansuri Swaraj had filed a complaint against Rahul under 7 sections of BNS including charges of attempt to murder, threatening and pushing.
However, the police have removed Section 109 (attempt to murder) and registered the FIR under only 6 sections. These sections include acts with intent to cause hurt, pushing and intimidation.
On the matter of FIR being registered against Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi said, “The whole country is watching, they have filed many cases against Rahul Gandhi. They bring fresh FIRs and lie…this shows their level of desperation.”
