28 October 2021- 3 killed after being crushed by a truck at Tikri border
Several women were crushed by a truck at the Tikri border in the Haryana region. This resulted in the death of three women. According to media reports, all three women were involved in the farmers’ movement. These women were sitting on the divider of the highway on the Tikri border. The truck went over the women while climbing the divider.

Politics started with Rahul Gandhi’s tweet regarding the accident. Rahul tweeted, ‘Bharat Mata – the Annadata of the country – has been crushed. This cruelty and hatred is hollowing out our country.

15 October 2021 – The brutal murder of Lakhbir Singh on the Singhu border
On the 15th of this month, a gruesome incident took place on the Singhu border. Lakhbir Singh, a resident of Tarn Taran district of Punjab, was brutally murdered. His mutilated body was found tied to the barricade. The charge of murder had come against the Nihangs. Lakhbir Singh belonged to the Dalit community, Nihangs had accused him of sacrilege from the Guru Granth Sahib. So far many people have been arrested in this connection.

August 28, 2021 – Lathi charge on farmers in Karnal, 1 killed
On August 28, 2021, farmers were protesting against Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar near the toll plaza in Karnal district of Haryana. During this, the police lathi-charged the farmers, in which one farmer died. Thousands of farmers had gheraoed the mini secretariat in Karnal for a long time regarding this matter. The farmers had demanded action against Karnal SDM Ayush Sinha who had ordered lathi-charge on the farmers.

May 2021- Rape of a girl while traveling to Tikri border
In the month of May this year, a sensational incident of rape came to the fore in the midst of the farmers’ movement. According to the police, a woman from West Bengal, who had come to join the farmers’ movement, was allegedly raped during her visit to the Tikri border. SIT investigation was done in this case and the accused was arrested.

26 January 2021 – Uproar on the streets of Delhi, 1 dead
Farmers took out a tractor parade in Delhi on 26 January on the occasion of Republic Day. The police fired tear gas shells at many places to stop the farmers going to the Red Fort. During this, a farmer died after the tractor overturned. At the same time, the incident of breaking the barricades of farmers came to the fore. In this violence, about 48 cases were registered against more than 500 farmers. At the same time, many farmers also had to go to jail.

Apart from this, many farmers have died during the ongoing agitation for these 11 months. In winter, many farmers died due to heart attack and cold and many suicide cases were also reported. According to the list released by the United Kisan Morcha on 23 September, a total of 605 farmers have died in the farmers’ agitation.
