Migration is coming and Trump assures that he will close the border on the first day of his mandate if he returns to the White House
After a tirade in which he talked about how when he was president he deported hundreds of members of the Mara Salvatrucha gang and used federal aid funds as a bargaining chip so that Central American countries, although he did not name them directly, would take them back, Trump has assured that the other thing he will do “from day one” apart from producing more oil will be “closing the border.”
He said that he and all Republicans want more people to come to the country, but only if they enter legally. Then a huge graph was projected on dozens of screens showing how illegal immigration has evolved between his term and Biden’s: “This graph saved my life,” he said, referring to the fact that during the rally where he was attacked last Saturday, turning his head slightly to see this graph just as he was shot made the bullet not hit him squarely in the head.
After that, Trump continued with his already well-known anti-immigrant speech full of lies and stigmatization: “It is the largest invasion in history,” “They are coming from all corners of the world, not just South America,” “They come from prisons, they come from jails, they come from mental institutions and mental hospitals.”
