In a series of violent incidents in the US within the last 24 hours, a massive shooting took place at the Amazura nightclub in the Queens area of New York, in which at least 11 people have died.
Late Wednesday night local time, during New Year’s celebrations, the attacker entered the club and opened fire indiscriminately. As soon as information about the incident was received, the New York Police Department (NYPD) reached the spot and surrounded the entire area. The injured were immediately admitted to nearby hospitals, where their condition is said to be critical.
Police have recovered several empty cartridges from the incident site and have identified a suspicious white car that may be involved in the incident. However, no suspect has been arrested yet. NYPD is also investigating whether this incident is related to any gang war or there is some other motive behind it.
It is noteworthy that this is the fourth major attack in America in the last 24 hours. Earlier, a terrorist had killed 15 people by ramming a car into a crowd in New Orleans, while three people were killed in an explosion outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.
