The Kentucky coroner’s office has identified the woman found dead in the Clifton Heights neighborhood. Sunday morning.
Jefferson County coroners released the name of Martha Perez-Silva, 21 years oldas the victim.
Likewise, the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department (LMPD) indicated that it responded to the 2100 block of Biljana Drive around 9:15 in the morning about the body of a woman.
An arrest report says that police officers discovered Pérez-Silva under the dining room table in his apartmentwhen they arrived on the scene.
The residents of the area declared to the authorities that they heard a “loud and violent fight” coming from the victim’s apartment the night before.
Subsequently, LMPD arrested Felipe Jesús Santos-Florencia, who they said was Pérez-Silva’s boyfriend. In addition, they disclosed that the man admitted to being the only person inside his apartment at the time of his death.
In the coroner’s report, they listed the young woman’s cause of death as stabbing and the manner of death as homicide, CBS affiliate WLKY in Kentucky reported.
Santos-Florencia is being charged with murder and domestic violence in connection with her death.
LMPD is still working on the crime investigations.
A judge set the defendant’s bail at $500,000 cash.
