The portal installed to connect Dublin with New York City was temporarily closed after a series of lewd behavior. The art installation consisted of a circular screen that transmitted live video between the two cities. The portals were located around the iconic New York Flatiron building and the popular Irish street O’Connell Street.
“The Portal” created by the artist Benediktas Gylys had said it opened on May 8 and was suspended this Tuesday. On social networks, users had shown incidents that occurred in the broadcasts as a mockery of the attacks on the Twin Towers or people undressing in front of the camera.
