PM Internship Scheme (PMIS): Last date to enroll, Who can Apply: Prime Minister Internship Scheme is an initiative of the Government of India which provides internship opportunity to the youth in the top 500 companies of the country. This scheme gives the youth an opportunity to gain experience by working with leading companies of India, so that they can improve their capabilities. Apart from practical experience, doing internship under this scheme also gives an opportunity to make professional contacts. Although this internship does not guarantee employment, it can definitely increase your ability to get employment opportunities. According to the PM Internship website, the last date of application for this scheme has been extended to 15 November 2024.
Benefits of joining PM Internship Scheme
– One-time assistance: One-time assistance of Rs. 6,000 and insurance cover during the internship.
Insurance Cover: Insurance cover will also be available under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.

In which areas will you get internship opportunities?
Candidates will be given internship opportunities in different areas, such as:
– IT & Software Development, Banking & Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Pharma, FMCG, Telecom, Construction, Automobiles, Media, Education, Farming & Allied Sectors, Consulting Services, Healthcare etc.

Will there be financial help during internship?
– Monthly Allowance: Every intern will receive an allowance of Rs 5,000 per month for the entire period of internship (12 months):
– Rs 500 will be given by the company every month, which will depend on the attendance and company policies.
– Rs 4,500 will be sent by the government directly to the candidate’s Aadhaar-linked bank account.
– One-time grant of Rs. 6,000: After the commencement of the internship, the Government of India will also provide Rs. 6,000 as one-time grant.
Insurance Coverage: Every intern will get insurance cover under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, the premium for which will be paid by the government. Additional insurance cover can also be provided by the company.
Insurance coverage will stop once the internship ends.

Who can apply?
To fill application in PM Internship Scheme:
– Must be an Indian citizen.
Age should be between 21-24 years (as on the last date of application).
-Candidates should not be engaged in full-time employment or studies
-Candidates associated with online or distance learning programs can apply.
– Candidate should have SSC, HSC or its equivalent, ITI certificate, Polytechnic Diploma or Graduation degree (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma).
