The actress Sophie Turner and the singer Joe Jonas They will go to trial for custody of their two daughters at the beginning of next year, a federal judge in Manhattan ruled this Tuesday.
According to the New York Post, the trial will take place on January 2.
The date was set during a hearing in Manhattan federal court in the emergency lawsuit that the interpreter of Sansa Stark, in ‘Game of Thrones’, filed against her ex-husband asking that her daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1 year old, were returned to “her forever home” in England.
Neither the DNCE vocalist nor the protagonist of ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ were present in court, but Turner was the one who called the hearing to ask if the judge and lawyers could hear her..
Lawyers for Turner, 27, pressed the judge to set a trial date as soon as possible, as the actress has a project starting in January in England, and insisted the case must be resolved before then.
“We have small children and the petitioner who is now here in the United States, but has work commitments in the United Kingdom in January”alleged one of his lawyers.
For his part, Joe, 34, only asked that a date be set for next year, after finishing his tour.
The former couple agreed that while they are in dispute over custody of Willa and Delphine, both princesses must remain temporarily in New York.
