The youngster will not play in the second Test; BCCI to announce replacement

India, who had done well in the first Test against England, suffered a setback ahead of the second Test. Youngster Shardul Thakur will miss the second Test at Lord’s. Shardul was known for his ability to shine in both bowling and batting. Shardul took key wickets in the first innings, including English captain Joe Root.

Shardul was injured during training ahead of the second Test. Shardul has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury. The BCCI has not yet made any official announcement regarding the player’s injury. India played four pacers and one spinner in the first Test.
