If Shardul is replaced at Lord’s, he will be replaced by spinner R Ashwin or pacer Ishant Sharma. The final decision will depend on the circumstances. Batting will benefit Ashwin. India played the first Test by dismissing a key spinner. It is hoped that Ashwin will be able to shine at Lord’s. Ishant could play if he goes down with four pacers.
