Sonipat: A minor girl was gang-raped and killed by drinking pesticide. The incident took place at Sonipat in Haryana. The 14- and 16-year-old sisters were brutally murdered, the English news channel India Today reported.

They were tortured in a house where only the girls and their mother lived. The four accused were migrant workers who were staying in a room adjoining the house where the family was staying. All of them are between 22 and 25 years old.

The atrocity took place at midnight on August 5th. The sisters were gang-raped after their mother was threatened by a gang of four who broke into the house. After this, he was forced to drink pesticides, police said.

The girls were threatened that if they asked the police about their condition, they would tell them that they had been bitten by a snake. Both were rushed to hospital but doctors confirmed that one had died. The other died while undergoing treatment. The mother had said that her children had been bitten by a snake when they reached the hospital after being threatened by the accused.

However, they were questioned in detail after the death was suspected. With this, the mother burst into tears and opened up about everything. The postmortem report confirmed that the children had been sexually abused. Police said that all the four accused in the case have been arrested.
