MADRID, September 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced this Friday the dismissal of Pablo García-Cuervo as communications director, in the midst of the federation renewal since the resignation of former president Luis Rubiales after his kiss with Jenni Hermoso.
“The RFEF dispenses with the services of the Director of Communication. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has decided today to dispense with the services of the Director of Communication, Pablo García-Cuervo,” says a statement from the Federation.
García-Cuervo is one of the witnesses summoned to testify in the framework of the investigation into Rubiales’ kiss to Hermoso during the celebration of the last World Cup in Australia and the player’s complaint, which uncovered an entire social and political movement.
In addition to García-Cuervo and Rubiales himself, in recent weeks Andreu Camps, former general secretary of the RFEF, has left his position in the Federation; Miguel Ángel García Caba, former head of the Integrity department, and Jorge Vilda, former national coach.
