The wall of Barrack No. 6 of Bhind District Jail in Madhya Pradesh collapsed at 5.15 am today. Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar told a news agency that 22 people were injured and one was in critical condition

It is reported that the wall collapsed due to age. The accident took place after days of heavy rains. There were 225 inmates in the jail at the time of the accident, national media reported, citing police. Manoj Kumar, a police officer, said the wall was old and the heavy rains may have caused the wall to collapse.
The building is reported to be 150 years old. He added that Barrack No. 6 was completely destroyed when the accident happened.
