The Premier thrashes the rest of the major leagues

The transfer market closed this Tuesday after a few hours of heart attack and with Spanish clubs below the other major European leagues in terms of investment. The combined spending of the 20 LaLiga teams during this market has remained at 293 million, far from the 420 million that were invested last year, consolidating the trend of seeking transfers and market opportunities at low cost. A strategy that has been followed in most European leagues, although Spain continues to stand out for its low spending. Comparing with the other major tournaments, in France the total investment has reached 356 million, in Germany 416 and in Italy 549. Special mention deserves the case of the Premier League, which seems not to be affected by the economic crisis suffered by the rest of the leagues. Among the 20 English clubs, 1,351 million euros have been spent, only 300 million less than everything invested by the 78 teams from Spain, France, Germany and France. The hires of Grealish (117.5) and Lukaku (115) have set new transfer records in England, the only ones to have moved nine figures. Of the 10 most expensive signings this summer, seven have been by English clubs and no transfer made in Spain enters that ranking.
