A new night of strong protests and incidents in Ferraz, but with a very controversial object. The National Police seized a pistol in one of the security filters installed near the PSOE headquarters, at a second lieutenant student of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza.
As police sources have informed EFE, around ten o’clock on Saturday night the agents who were at the security filter located on Marqués de Urquijo Street, at the confluence with Ferraz, identified an Army second lieutenant assigned to the General Academy of Zaragoza who was carrying a pistol of his property.
The agents proposed the young man for sanction for violating the Citizen Security law.
1,500 people concentrated
The sixteenth day of protests on Ferraz Street brought together 1,500 people, as reported by the Government Delegation, and where tension has been increasing at times with police charges and several arrests among the protesters who occupy the first rows of the concentration, if Well after 11:30 p.m., they left the area peacefully and without any notable altercations.
Previously, at 11:00 p.m., the National Police began charging the most radical hooded protesters who were in the front row, after they began to kick and overturn the fences that protected the PSOE headquarters in Ferraz.
The police issued ten warnings before charging and, finally, a few protesters were arrested or taken to the security forces.
At around 10:30 p.m., the protesters began to tear down all the security fencing, while the police presence grew with three or four rows of police officers armed with shields.
