Visiting the crisis desk created in Kahramanmaraş Governorate after making aerial investigations at the scene. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli, at the press conference held here, reminded that the Russian-made Be-200 type aircraft leased by the General Directorate of Forestry for forest fires was deployed in Adana.
Expressing that the plane was transferred to the region due to the forest fire in Kahramanmaraş today and had an accident at around 14.35, Pakdemirli said, “First of all, our guards reached the region on foot, and then our JAK and AFAD teams reached the region by airdrop. We lost 8 of our Turkish colleagues. I wish mercy from Almighty Allah to our friends. I wish patience to their families,” he said.
Expressing that the prosecutor and the Forensic Medicine Institute continue to work on the issue, Pakdemirli said:
“The completion of the technical investigation is extremely important in order to be able to make more clarifications. The necessary authorities will make the necessary explanation when we get more information after the completion of the black box and on-site actual investigation, as it is known among the people. “There is not much left. Get well soon, may Allah have mercy on us all. May Allah protect our country from such disasters.”
