The number of victims of floods and mudflows in the Black Sea region of Turkey has reached 40 people. It was reported on Saturday by the Emergency Prevention and Management Administration (AFAD) under the Turkish government.
According to the report, 34 people were killed in the northern province of Kastamonu and six in Sinop.
In the province of Bartin, the search continues for a local resident carried away by the mudflow.
Nine people are admitted to hospitals.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the natural disaster zone in the north of the country yesterday. The head of state assured that the state will do everything possible to eliminate the consequences of natural disasters in the north and south of the country.
