The eternal Jesús Navas, at 38 years old, gave Sevilla its first win of the season, anguished by the enormous social fracture that exists between its people and the board chaired by José María del Nido Carrasco. A victory that should calm the spirits of a club in full combustion and sporting reconversion. Navas scored to defeat a Getafe with very few arguments in attack, unable to take advantage of Juanlu’s red card in the 87th minute and a very long 14 minutes of injury time. Bordalás’ team has very little football in attack and bases everything on its defence. It will have a hard time because the First Division demands much more.

With the Sánchez Pizjuán shouting against the management of the Sevilla board, the coaching staff and its players had the virtue of isolating themselves from an atmosphere of civil war that clearly harms the interests of the club itself. The shouts against the president Del Nido Carrasco increased before and during a match that Sevilla managed with the resources it has. With a brave coach, García Pimienta, who gave Jesús Navas a starting position and players with more football like Peque or Sow. Opposite, an iron Getafe, who had only received four shots on goal in the three games they had played. A rock very well worked by Bordalás. Their game would have been perfect if Uche had scored after an error by the unstable Marcao. His ball hit the post. Sevilla’s minutes of anxiety after a good start were over after Navas’ good goal. Nothing like goals to calm the spirits of a team that needs to take off in an unhealthy atmosphere, with the stands fired up.
Sevilla controlled the game in the second half against a Getafe that took a step forward, but lacked talent and creativity. The game, however, became rough. Marcao had to leave injured with a concussion, the interruptions were constant and Juanlu still saw a second yellow card for diving in the area with everything in his favour to score the second goal. Ferrer Busquets, a good referee, gave 14 minutes of added time. Nervión roared again as before, forgetting the differences to support a team that needed the win to grow. Only Yellu worried Nyland with a shot from outside the area. Even Lukébakio shot against the post in the middle of a madness. Sevilla won, having needed a lot to defeat a very grey Getafe. They had to breathe in the middle of a hurricane. They should not play games with so much anxiety. García Pimienta also broke a streak of 18 games without a win (14 with Las Palmas and four with Sevilla). Getafe still have a lot of suffering ahead of them.
