Latin American countries continue to record new cases of contamination and death from Covid-19.

In the past 24 hours, Covid-19 has killed 126 in Brazil, 77 in Mexico, 38 in Colombia, 39 in Argentina, 13 in Peru, 17 in Chile and 37 in Guatemala.

According to data from the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the country has recorded a total of 609,573 deaths. The number of cases recorded in the last 24 hours was 5,638, bringing the total to 21,886,077 cases.

Brazil is the second country in number of deaths after the United States.

Mexico registered 810 new cases, bringing the total to 3,827,596 cases. The country has also recorded 289,811 deaths.

Colombia has recorded a total of 5,016,959 cases, including 1,917 in the last 24 hours, in addition to 127,571 deaths in total.

Argentina has announced 116,143 deaths so far. The country has counted 1,288 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 5,298,069 cases.

Peru has detected 109 new cases, bringing the total to 2,207,890. The number of deaths has risen to 200,469 in the past 24 hours.

Chile has recorded a total of 37,879 deaths and 1,711,137 cases of infection, including 2,367 in the last 24 hours.

The Covid-19 has killed 15,474 in total in Guatemala, in addition to 605,749 cases, including 85 detected in the last 24 hours, according to local media.
