Latin American countries continue to record new cases of contamination and death from Covid-19.

In the past 24 hours, the new coronavirus has killed 1,211 in Brazil, 541 in Mexico, 204 in Argentina, 167 in Colombia, 48 in Peru, 31 in Chile, 26 in Paraguay, 37 in Guatemala and 68 in Honduras.

According to data from the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the country has recorded a total of 564,773 deaths. The number of cases recorded in the last 24 hours was 34,885, bringing the total to 20,212,642 cases.

Brazil is the second country in number of deaths after the United States.

Mexico registered 19,555 new cases, bringing the total to 2,997,885 cases. The country has also recorded 245,476 deaths.

Argentina has announced 108,165 deaths so far. The country has counted 12,412 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 5,041,487 cases.

Colombia has recorded a total of 4,846,955 cases, including 3,948 in the last 24 hours, in addition to 122,768 deaths in total.

In Peru, Covid-19 has killed 197,102 and 2,127,034 cases of infection, including 714 in the last 24 hours.

Chile has recorded a total of 36,138 deaths and 1,624,823 cases of infection, including 514 in the last 24 hours.

In Paraguay, Covid-19 has claimed 15,341 deaths and 455,680 cases, including 291 in the past 24 hours.

The Covid-19 has killed 10,845 in total in Guatemala, in addition to 394,732 cases, including 3,354 detected in the last 24 hours, according to local media.

Honduras has recorded, according to local media, a total of 8,270 deaths and 310,610 cases of infection, including 1,581 in the last 24 hours.
