The Blasters have excelled in that regard, with Ivan Vukomanovic open-minded about the January transfer.

In their ninth match of the 2021-22 season ISL, the Kerala Blasters had to settle for a draw against FC Goa yesterday. Goa’s two brilliant goals drew Kerala to a 2-0 lead. The Hornets are currently third in the league, having climbed to the top of the points table with a draw. Speaking to the media after the match, Blasters coach Ivan Vukomanovic said he was “proud of his team’s performance against Goa.”

Defensively, the Blasters stood out

“Honestly, Goa dominates all the teams in the league. They have a philosophy of maintaining possession and finding gaps. I think the team stood firm in defense against them and tried to close the gaps.

Both teams deserved every point

Asked if the result of the match was fair, the Blasters coach replied that both teams deserved one point each. The Blasters boss pointed out that both teams had scored goals, adding that Goa and the Blasters deserved one point each as the game developed in both halves. “Of course both teams want to win. Our strategy today was to press in the first half and score a few goals.” Ivan said.
