The classic mode par excellence in NBA 2K is none other than Ageswhat we once knew as Association. We will choose one of the 30 teams in the best basketball competition in the world, and we will make all the decisions on and off the court.
Surely you have a great plan for those next draft picks, or a transfer in mind that improves the starting five to storm the ring. But there is a very quick and incredibly cheap way to level up your starting rotation regardless of the team chosen: free agents.
They may not be the best players, but they can provide you with some bench depth that is so necessary in a season as long as the NBA, as well as they can provide you with specific things that you do not have on your team: outside shooting, defense on the ball or seniority. We have prepared a list for you with the best free agents available according to our experience and we have divided it by position.

There’s a big name on the table here. Starter last year in the Los Angeles Clippers, John Wall He could be an interesting option for the point guard position. Maybe he is no longer the star of yesteryear, but he can save your ballot from the bench. There are several interesting veterans, but if you want a play-created player, your man is Howie Carney and his A+ in outside defense and 3-point shooting.

This year’s jackpot is surely Kelly Oubre JR. She can also act as a forward and will give you both points and decent defense thanks to her size. Of course, you should know that she will probably ask for your Mid Level Exception because of her cache and she will never sign you for the minimum.

At the forward position you have young options like Terence Davis or Diallo, as well as greater versatility with Warren and Winslow. In case you want to opt for a machine-created player, we recommend you to Stacey Carra 3-point shooter who also has great outside defense.

In an NBA with so much versatility, the 4 position has changed a lot. You may not find stars in this role within the initial free agency, but you will find some relevant players like Green or Iguadala, a young man like Robinson–earl, or a good shooter like Johnson. Again, there is a gem in made-up players and it is Earl Jenkins.

A position in which you will not find stars either, but you will find some scorers like Willy, or good defenders like Biyombo or Garuba. Whoever has a few centimeters more than these two is Durmanenkoanother regen, but who also stands out for his great outside shooting capacity.
