- Shikha Pandey bowls Alyssa Healy clean
- Wasim Jaffer called the best ball of the century
- India lose second T20I against Australia
Former India captain Wasim Jaffer described the performance as the best ball of the century in women’s cricket. Shikha Alyssa Healy was dismissed in the first over of the second T20I. The ball, which combined speed and swing, bounced off the bail of Alyssa’s middle stump. Fans and cricket experts alike say it is undoubtedly one of the best balls in the history of cricket.
Earlier in the day, India scored 119 for 9 in 20 overs. Pooja Vastrakar (37 off 26 balls) and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (28 off 20 balls) were the main contributors in the Indian innings. For Australia, Tayla Wloming and Sophie Molinex took two wickets each.
Despite the sudden loss of Alyssa Healy, Australia chased down beautifully and won against India. Beth Mooney (34 off 36 balls) and skipper Meg Lanning (15 off 20 balls) then led the way. India lost the toss and elected to field.
