Application process continues
Applications continue for the International Short Film Competition and the National Short Film Script Competition for the festival, which will be held on 10-12 December this year.
Applications to the competitions, which are organized to bring more dystopian-themed films to the industry, can be made on the official website of the festival “www.distopyaff.com” or “www.filmfreeway.com” until October 15th.
Among the films that have applied to the International Dystopia Film Festival, directed by Hatice Aşkın, and comply with the festival regulations, 8 finalist short films will be determined. Within the scope of the competition, 7,500 TL for the first place, 5 thousand TL for the second and 2 thousand 500 TL for the third place will be presented, while screening royalties will be paid to the finalist films in addition to the awards to be given to the films that are ranked.
Aiming to support filmmakers who want to make dystopian films, the festival will also host a competition for dystopian-themed short film scripts.
The International Independent Cinema and Art Association will mentor the project, which won the Best Screenplay Award, in the process of turning it into a movie. A fund of 7 thousand 500 liras will be provided as the Best Screenplay Award for the film project that will be ranked in the competition.
