The qualifying round for the TNSV THACO Cup 2025 will start on December 28, 2024 and end on January 18, 2025. After the end of the qualifying round, 11 excellent teams include 2 representatives of the Northern region, 2 representatives of the Central Coast region, 4 representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City region, 1 representative of the South Central – Central Highlands region. , 1 representative of the Southeast region, 1 representative of the Southwest region and the home team of Ton Duc Thang University will attend the final round of THACO Volunteer Cup 2025. New features of THACO Cup 2025 Volunteers
Compared to the previous two seasons, the TNSV THACO Cup 2025 has notable new features.
For the first time, each team is allowed to register 3 regular student players from their school who have participated in the national U.19 and U.21 tournaments from 2022 to present. At each time on the field, 2 out of 3 players will be allowed to play. This is a factor that adds expertise and appeal to the tournament. According to preliminary statistics, there are currently nearly 50 players who participated in U tournaments participating in the 2025 TNSV THACO Cup.
TNSV THACO Cup 2025 is also the first time the host team, Ton Duc Thang University team, will not participate in the qualifying round, to create a more intense and fierce competition opportunity for teams in the Ho Chi Minh City area.
The 2025 TNSV THACO Cup also marks the first time the number of participating teams is greater than the previous season: in 2023 there were 43 teams, in 2024 there were 64 teams and this season there were 67 teams. Among them, there are 17 new teams participating compared to last season. The total number of matches this year is 126, including more qualifying rounds with 101 matches and the finals with still 25 matches.
