That was the reason for the defeats, Rohit openly admitted; Against whom ?!

Despite winning the World Cup against Afghanistan, the chances of India seeing the semi-finals are still slim. New Zealand can only think about it if it loses to Afghanistan or Namibia. Yet they must be able to surpass them in net run rate. The victory over Afghanistan gives India a little bit of confidence. New Zealand are back on track to beat Scotland, who beat India.

Rohit shined against Afghanistan

Vice-captain Rohit Sharma led the team from the front against Afghanistan after a poor performance against Pakistan and New Zealand. Openers Rohit and Rahul scored half-centuries for India. Rohit was the man of the match. Rohit was third in the series against New Zealand. This led to much criticism.

Decisions are wrong

Rohit has openly admitted that India’s defeat in the first two matches of the World Cup was due to bad decisions. “The approach against Afghanistan was different. This was what was needed in the first two matches. The flaws in the decision-making were humiliating. That was the setback in the first two matches,” Rohit said.

What’s wrong?

After the defeat in the first two matches, there was a lot of criticism against captain Virat Kohli. The inclusion of R Ashwin in the third match was seen as beneficial. Vina played Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was out of form in the bowling line-up, in the first innings. Ishant Kishan was the opener in the second match. Rohit said the decisions were reversed, whether by Kohli or the team management.
