Just a few days ago, a tragedy marked the first show he offered Taylor Swift in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ana Clara Benevidesa 23-year-old fan of the American singer, died last Friday night, according to reports, after suffering a decompensation due to the high temperatures that were recorded in the city in recent days.
The young woman received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but a second cardiopulmonary arrest on the way to the hospital ended her life. The interpreter starred in an emotional tribute dedicated to Ana Clara and the entire stadium accompanied her: “You were more.”
Ana attended the Nilton Santos Stadium in Brazil, on Friday, November 17, to see her great music icon. Like thousands of fans, they waited before enjoying the show, in the midst of a heat wave that stalked the country, with temperatures above 40° and a thermal sensation that during that day reached 58.5°.
This Sunday, Taylor Swift returned to the stage and dedicated a heartfelt tribute to Ana Benevides, which was accompanied by the entire audience. Fans warned that she the American artist modified the lyrics of his song “Bigger Than The Whole Sky” and he adapted it to a story that he sang in honor of the young woman.
“Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye / You were bigger than all the sky / You were more than a short time / I’ll never know what you could have been / What you should have been,” Swift sang in a heartbroken tone.
“The entire stadium singing ‘Bigger Than The Whole Sky’ for Ana,” said an attendee.
