Along with studies, the children of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya will now be able to take training in automotive skills in their school. For this, Tata Motors is preparing its labs in schools. The company has so far built 25 labs in selected schools of many states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand. After completing their studies from Navodaya Vidyalaya, these children will get a chance to do Diploma and B.Tech in Manufacturing Technology. In return, they will also get full stipend i.e. scholarship. News agency PTI Bhasha has informed, quoting Tata Motors, that the children who remain with the company will have a chance to do B.Tech along with a job.
Preparations are underway to impart automotive skills to the students of Navodaya Vidyalaya with the cooperation of Tata Motors and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Tata Motors told PTI Bhasha on Monday that the company has set up labs in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas to impart automotive skills to the students in collaboration with Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

So far, Tata Motors has set up 25 labs in selected Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country. The states in which these labs were set up include selected Navodaya Vidyalayas in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Every year 4000 children will learn automotive skills
The vehicle manufacturing company said that under the vocational program in the National Education Policy 2020, children will be given automotive skills in these labs. Every year 4000 children will learn skills in Tata Motors’ lab built in Navodaya Vidyalaya. The company said that 30 percent of the 4000 children will be girls.
