Tata Curvv vs Hyundai Creta comparison: Car buyers were eagerly waiting for the Tata Curve petrol-diesel variant. The company launched it in the Indian market yesterday. Car buyers were disappointed with the price of Tata Curve Electric which was launched in the market about a month ago, but after the price of Curve petrol-diesel variant was revealed yesterday, customers are quite surprised.
Tata Motors has launched Curve at a competitive price and challenged the best selling mid-size SUV Hyundai Creta. Tata Curve is the second SUV coupe to enter its segment after Citroen Basalt. Both of them also compete with each other. Although both the new cars are SUV coupes, they also compete with vehicles like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara included in the mid-size SUV segment. Now the question is whether Curve has the ability to dislodge Creta, which has been ruling the mid-size SUV segment for a long time?

Tata Curvv vs Hyundai Creta: Price
In terms of price, Hyundai Creta is more expensive than Tata Curve. Tata Motors has been smart in offering the petrol-diesel Curve at a starting price of Rs 10 lakh, while the starting price of Hyundai Creta is around Rs 1 lakh more than Curve.
The fuel version of Tata Curve is offered in 4 variants – Smart, Pure, Creative and Accomplished. All these trims are available in many options. Hyundai Creta is available in E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech and SX(O) variants. Customers can book Curve till October 31 at an introductory price. The details of the prices are given below.

Booking for this is ongoing. Delivery of Tata Curve will start from September 12. On the other hand, the price of the new Creta in the Indian market is between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20.15 lakh.

Tata Curvv vs Hyundai Creta: Engine Specs
Tata Curve has three engine options. The first is a 1.2-liter TGDI turbocharged petrol engine. This engine generates 123bhp of power and 225Nm of torque. The second is a 1.2-liter turbo engine that generates 118bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. Apart from this, the third engine option in Curve is a 1.5-liter diesel engine. This engine is capable of generating the maximum 260Nm of torque and 116bhp of power. For transmission, a 6-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed DCT option has been added with these engines. Curve is the first diesel car made in India which is equipped with 7-speed DCT.
On the other hand, Hyundai Creta comes with 3 engine options – 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo and 1.5-litre diesel. While the naturally aspirated petrol engine is not available in Curve. Creta’s naturally aspirated engine generates 113 bhp power and 143.8 Nm torque. For transmission, a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic option has been added with the engine. Its turbo petrol engine is capable of generating 157.5 bhp power and 253 Nm torque. A 7-speed dual-clutch is available for transmission with this engine. The diesel engine generates 114bhp power and 250Nm torque. For transmission, a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic option has been added with this engine.
