The Taliban, which occupy Afghanistan, is preparing to announce the Islamic Emirate government on Friday. It is being told that the new Taliban government will be formed on the lines of Iran. In this government, the tallest leader of the Taliban can be given the highest position in the country like the supreme leader or religious leader of Iran. The Taliban has even said that women will also be included in its government. At the same time, former President Hamid Karzai will not be included in the government.
talks of government formation in the last round
A senior Taliban member has said that the Taliban’s biggest religious leader, Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada, will be made the supreme leader of Afghanistan. Mufti Inamulla Samangani, a senior official of the Taliban’s Information and Culture Commission, said on Wednesday that talks on forming a new government were almost in the final stages and there were discussions on the cabinet. He said the group was fully prepared to form a new government in Kabul in the next three days.
Mullah Akhundzada will be the supreme leader of the Taliban government
In the new government, 60-year-old Mullah Akhundzada will be the supreme leader of the Taliban government. This will be done on the lines of leadership in Iran where the supreme leader is the country’s highest political and religious authority. His position is above that of the President and he appoints the heads of the army, government and the judicial system. The decision of the supreme leader is final in the political, religious and military affairs of the country.
The office of the President will also be under Akhundzada.
Samangani said that Mullah Akhundzada would be the supreme leader of the government and there should be no question that he indicated that the President would work under Akhundzada. Mullah Akhundzada is the Taliban’s biggest religious leader and has been working in a mosque in the Kachlak region of Balochistan province for the past 15 years. Samangani said that under the new government, the governor would be the head of the provinces and the ‘district governor’ would be in charge of his district.
Taliban appoints governor, police chief
The Taliban have already appointed governors, police chiefs and police commanders for provinces and districts. He said that the name of the new administration system, national flag and national anthem are yet to be decided. Meanwhile, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, deputy leader in the Taliban’s political office in Doha, told foreign media channels on Thursday that the new government would include members of all Afghan tribes and women.
No place for political leaders in Taliban administration
“Anyone who was involved in previous governments in Afghanistan in the last 20 years will not find a place in the new Taliban administration,” he said. He said that Mulla Akhundzada would oversee the work of the government from Kandahar. He said the Taliban wants friendly relations with the European Union, the US and India and for this the Taliban’s political office in Doha is in touch with various countries.
Taliban focus on Kabul airport
Stanikzai said operations at Hamid Karzai International Airport would resume in the next 48 hours and those arriving with valid documents would be allowed to leave the country. He said that the repair of the airport will cost US $ 25 to 30 million.
