The Supreme Court has refused to ban electoral bonds. The court has refused to ban the sale of new electoral bonds from April 1, before the assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry. The NGO Association for Democratic Reforms filed a petition against the electoral bonds.
The Election Commission has allowed the sale of electoral bonds between April 1 and 10.
