Kochi: Police have registered a case against PC George for committing suicide against Health Minister Veena George. The case was filed by a lawyer in the High Court. Asianet News reports that the case is against insulting women and insulting them on social media.
The action against the former Poonjar MLA was based on controversial remarks made in an interview to a Facebook page. The case was registered by Ernakulam North police. Police found that the woman had been abused. The case is under Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code.

PC George made controversial remarks saying that Veena George is the health minister of Kerala. According to Media One, PC George said in a controversial interview, “Veena George will get the award for making Kerala the country with the highest number of corona patients in India. Why do they come every day to show off their beauty?

There were also references from the former MLA as to whom to show. The case was registered by the police on a complaint filed by a lawyer against the interviewer.
