In Odisha, the Subhadra Yojana has been launched today for the empowerment of women in the state. Describing women empowerment as important for the development of Odisha,On the occasion of his birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the women-centric scheme ‘Subhadra’ of the BJP government led by Mohan Charan Majhi (Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi). Under the Subhadra scheme, all eligible beneficiaries in the age group of 21 to 60 years will be provided an amount of Rs 50,000 over a period of five years from 2024-25 to 2028-29.
Under the Subhadra Yojana, an amount of Rs 10,000 will be sent every year in two equal installments (Rs 5000 each) to the bank accounts of eligible women beneficiaries of Odisha. So far, 76 lakh women have registered under the scheme.During the programme, an amount of more than Rs 1,250 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of more than 25 lakh women beneficiaries under the Subhadra Scheme.
SUBHADRA Scheme: These women can apply
To avail the benefits of this scheme, the female beneficiary must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
The applicant must be a resident of Odisha.
The applicant must be covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) / State Food Security Scheme (SFSS).
Any woman from a family without an NFSA or SFSS card can apply under Subhadra, provided her family income does not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh. That is, women from families with an annual income of less than Rs 2 lakh and Rs 50 thousand can apply to get the benefit of Subhadra Yojana.
To be eligible under the scheme, the age of the applicant should be 21 years or more and less than 60 years as on the eligibility date. The date of birth recorded on the Aadhaar card will be considered final for calculating the age of the female candidate.
For FY 2024-25, the age of the woman should be 21 years or more and less than 60 years as on 1 July 2024. The applicant must be born on or after 2 July 1964 and on or before 1 July 2003. The date of birth recorded on the Aadhaar card will be used to calculate age.
For FY 2024-25, if a woman attains the age of 21 years after July 1, 2024, she will get Rs 10,000 per year for the remaining years of the scheme period.
Women who attain the age of 60 years after July 1, 2024 in the financial year 2024-25 will not get the benefit for the remaining years of the scheme period.

All eligible women will be required to apply to avail the benefits under the scheme.
Offline and online applications for Subhadra Yojana are ongoing.
To apply offline, eligible female candidates will have to fill the form. Apart from this, they can also apply online through Subhadra portal.
Adequate pre-printed application forms will be made available free of cost at various places like Anganwadi Centres, Block Offices, Urban Local Body Offices, Mo Seba Centres, Common Service Centres, etc.
The applicant has to fill the form and submit it at the nearest Mo Seba Kendra / Common Service Centre.
In case of any discrepancy between the form submitted by the applicant and Aadhaar, the information in Aadhaar will be considered final.
All applications collected will be verified as per the database available with the Government and through field checks wherever necessary.
All applicants will be required to self-certify their eligibility under Subhadra, submit the relevant undertaking and complete the e-KYC formalities. The preferred mode of e-KYC will be face-authentication, whereby beneficiaries can complete the process through the Subhadra mobile application by providing their Aadhaar number.
A beneficiary can choose to opt out of Subhadra, thereby stopping the benefits he or she can continue to receive through the Subhadra portal to support the empowerment and welfare of his or her fellow sisters in Odisha.

As promised, we opened the Ratna Bhandar in Puri’s Jagannath temple after the BJP government was formed in Odisha.
