Paytm
Financial technology company One97 Communications has laid off employees. One97 Communications owns Paytm. The company claimed in a statement that it is providing ‘outplacement’ (recruitment elsewhere) assistance to the employees for their smooth transfer. However, the number of employees laid off was not disclosed in the statement. In the January-March 2024 quarter, the number of employees (sales) of Paytm declined to around 36521 on a quarterly basis.
JSW Energy
JSW Energy has started the construction of a 1 GWh battery energy storage system project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan. JSW Energy informed the stock exchange that the company had recently received the contract for this project from Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). The project has two installations, each with a capacity of 500 MW (h).
Suzlon
Suzlon Energy said that there have been no financial irregularities or compliance violations in the organization following the resignation of independent director Mark Desedeleer. According to information given to BSE, Mark Desedeleer resigned. In his resignation to be given on June 8, 2024, he raised corporate governance issues within the company.
HG Infra Engineering
The company has incorporated a step-down subsidiary company, HG Jaipur Solar Project Private Limited, to carry on business in the field of solar energy.
Reliance Power
Reliance Power has repaid all the outstanding debt to the lenders and has now become a debt-free company on a standalone basis. According to sources, the company had an outstanding debt of about Rs 800 crore, which has been repaid to the banks. Reliance Power has a share base of Rs 4016 crore with participation of more than 38 lakh retail investors. The operational capacity of Reliance Power is 5900 MW.
Emphasis
About 3.35 crore shares of Mphasis were sold on Monday through open market transactions on NSE in a deal worth more than Rs 7,000 crore. The IT company’s stock closed at Rs 2398 on Monday, down about 3 per cent from its previous close. Although the sellers and buyers of the shares could not be identified, according to initial reports, BCP Topco, a subsidiary of American investment firm Blackstone, could be the seller.
