JSW Steel
The board of directors of JSW Steel has approved an investment of US $ 120 million to acquire 66.67 percent stake in Australian company M Race NSW HCC. In a notice to the stock exchange on Monday, JSW Steel said that this investment will be made in the Australian company through its wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Steel (Netherlands).
Vodafone Idea
Debt-ridden telecom company Vodafone Idea’s loss in the first quarter of the current financial year has come down to Rs 6432.1 crore. The company’s loss has come down due to the increase in the number of 4G customers. Vodafone Idea Limited said that it is preparing to expand 4G coverage and capacity and launch 5G services after the recently raised funds. The company’s loss was Rs 7,840 crore in the first quarter of FY 2023-24 and Rs 7,674.6 crore in the January-March, 2024 quarter.
Bajaj Finance
Bajaj Finance has said that it has received a show cause notice for GST demand of Rs 342 crore. The company told the stock market that it has received a show cause notice (SCN) from the Director General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Kochi Regional Unit. Bajaj Finance said that in this notice, the officials have said that a certain amount of advance interest taken from customers in B2B business should be considered as fee / service charge and Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be payable on it.
Kotak Mahindra Bank
Sonata Finance and BSS Microfinance, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of the bank, have approved the scheme of merger of Sonata with BSS on a going concern basis. However, the scheme will be subject to the approval of the respective shareholders and creditors of Sonata and BSS as well as the approval of the respective National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
Adani Green Energy
Gautam Adani Group’s renewable energy company Adani Green Energy’s operational capacity is expected to grow by more than 30 per cent to cross 50,000 MW by 2030, a report said on Monday. Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has set a target of adding 6,000 to 7,000 MW capacity annually to become the world’s largest power producer.
