Adani Total Gas
Adani Total Gas Limited has secured $375 million in funding from global lenders to expand its business. Five international lenders participated in the initial financing. These include BNP Paribas, DBS Bank, Mizuho Bank, MUFG Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. A joint statement by Adani Group and French energy company Total Energies said that this facility will accelerate the capex program.
Vodafone Idea
Debt-laden telecom company Vodafone Idea has awarded a Rs 30,000 crore contract to Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung for the supply of 4G and 5G network equipment. This contract is for 3 years. The company had earlier announced capex of $6.6 billion or Rs 55,000 crore in three years. This deal is the first step in this direction. The capex program aims to increase the 4G population from 1.03 billion to 1.2 billion, launch 5G services in major markets and expand capacity in line with data growth.
HFCL
The company has entered into a strategic partnership with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) to develop and supply critical subsystems for GA-ASI’s advanced unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
Tata Steel
Tata Steel commissioned India’s largest blast furnace at its Kalinganagar plant which will help increase the plant’s production capacity from 3 million tonnes per annum to 8 million tonnes per annum. The blast furnace is a key component of an integrated steel manufacturing plant, which is required to produce hot metal even at temperatures up to 1500 Celsius. Tata Steel in November 2018 launched the second phase of Rs 27,000 crore to expand its Kalinganagar project in Odisha.
Glenmark Pharma
The United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has completed a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspection at the company’s formulation manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad). The inspection, which was conducted from September 9-20, concluded without any comments.
HDFC Bank
HDB Financial Services has received board approval for an initial public offering (IPO) of equity shares, comprising a fresh issue of Rs 2,500 crore and an offer for sale of equity shares by existing and eligible shareholders.
