LIC results today
Today on 27 May 2024, the country’s largest government insurance company LIC is going to release its quarterly results. Apart from this, quarterly results of Astrazeneca Pharma, Borosil Renewables, Jubilant Industries, Natco Pharma, NALCO, NMDC, Peninsula Land, TVS Supply Chain Solutions will also be released today.
GAIL (India)
Public sector company GAIL (India) Limited said that its first green hydrogen plant located at Vijaypur in Madhya Pradesh has become operational. Its capacity is 10 MW. This is an important step towards the entry of the country’s largest natural gas company into the new and alternative energy sector. A 10 MW proton exchange membrane electrolyser has been imported from Canada for the green hydrogen production unit at the Vijaypur complex.
Adani Ports, Wipro
Gautam Adani Group’s company Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone will join BSE’s major index Sensex from June 24. An official announcement said that Adani Ports will replace Wipro in the Sensex. These changes were announced by S&P Dow Jones Index and BSE’s joint venture Asia Index. Apart from this, Tata Group company Trent Limited will enter the Sensex 50.
Hindalco
Aditya Birla Group’s flagship metals company, Hindalco Industries, reported a 31.6 per cent rise in profit to Rs 3174 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024. This growth is due to strong margins and volume growth in the aluminium and copper business segments. Total income during the quarter rose to Rs 56,356 crore from Rs 56,209 crore in the year-ago period.
NTPC
The profit of public sector power company NTPC has increased by 33 percent to Rs 6,490.05 crore. During the quarter, the total income of the company increased from Rs 44,744.96 crore to Rs 48,816.55 crore on an annual basis. In the entire financial year 2023-24, the profit increased from Rs 17,121.35 crore to Rs 21,332.45 crore on an annual basis.
Suzlon
Renewable energy company Suzlon’s profit in the fourth quarter of FY 2023-24 fell by about 21 percent to Rs 254 crore. The company’s profit in the fourth (January-March) quarter of FY 2022-23 was Rs 320 crore. Total income increased to Rs 2,207.43 crore in the March quarter, from Rs 1,699.96 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Ashok Leyland
Hinduja Group’s flagship company Ashok Leyland will launch five to six products in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment this year. According to the company, Ashok Leyland has set aside Rs 500 to Rs 700 crore as capital expenditure for the current financial year.
