Adani Enterprises
Gautam Adani and Adani Group companies acquired over 2 per cent stake in Adani Enterprises through open market purchases from September 2023 to June 2024, as reported on June 14. Earlier, the acquirers and the promoter group held 71.95 per cent of the combined voting capital, which increased by 2.02 per cent after the purchase.
Jindal Stainless
Jindal Stainless has acquired the remaining 46 per cent stake in Chromoney Steels Private Limited (CSPL) for Rs 278 crore. Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) said in a statement that after this CSPL has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company from June 15, 2024. This transaction involves a total expenditure of Rs 278 crore, which includes equity transfer and payment of shareholders’ loan.
Paytm, Zomato
Paytm is reportedly in advanced discussions with Zomato Ltd to sell its movie and event ticketing business. The move is part of Paytm’s strategy to improve amid declining sales. While the talks are progressing, other interested parties are also involved. According to a Bloomberg report, the discussions are ongoing and a final decision has not been reached yet.
ixigo
Shares of Le Travelues Technology, which operates travel booking platform ixigo, will be listed today. It is expected to have a strong listing. The IPO received 98.10 times subscription. The size of the IPO is Rs 740 crore and includes a fresh issue of up to Rs 120 crore. The price band for the IPO was Rs 88 to Rs 93 per share.
Biocon
Biocon informed that the US FDA issued three observations following a GMP inspection at its API manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on June 14, 2024. The company will respond to the US FDA within the prescribed time frame.
Airtel
Bharti Airtel has paid the entire dues of Rs 7,904 crore to the Department of Telecommunications for spectrum allotted in 2012 and 2015. Airtel had acquired spectrum worth Rs 8.67 crore from the government in the 2012 auction and Rs 29,129 crore in the 2015 auction. The company said that these liabilities were at the rate of 9.75 percent on the spectrum acquired in 2012, while its interest rate for the spectrum acquired in the 2015 auction was 10 percent.
