ACC
Cement company ACC Limited’s profit fell by 22.46 percent to Rs 361.40 crore in the June quarter of the current financial year. The Adani Group company had a profit of Rs 466.14 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The company’s operating income declined marginally to Rs 5,154.89 crore as against Rs 5,201.11 crore in the same quarter last year.
Tata Steel
Tata Steel has acquired more than 557 crore shares of its Singapore-based unit TSHP for $875 million. The company has informed the stock market about the purchase of this stake. In May, the board of directors of Tata Steel approved the proposal to invest capital in its subsidiary T Steel Holdings Pte Ltd (TSHP) by acquiring equity shares in one or more installments.
Adani Wilmar
Adani Wilmar’s profit increased to Rs 313.20 crore in the quarter ended June 1 of the current financial year 2024-25. The company had earned a profit of Rs 78.92 crore in the first quarter of the last financial year. The company’s total income increased to Rs 14,229.87 crore in the April-June quarter, from Rs 12,994.18 crore in the same period last year.
Airtel
Telecom major Bharti Airtel has started reallocating its medium band spectrum in view of the rapid increase in demand for 5G. The company said that as the demand for data increases, Airtel is reforming its existing spectrum to provide a great 5G experience to its customers.
Indian Bank
Indian Bank’s profit for the June quarter of the current financial year has increased by 41 percent to Rs 2,403 crore. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 1,709 crore in the same period a year ago. The bank’s results have improved due to a decrease in bad loans. Indian Bank told the stock market that the total income of the bank during the quarter under review increased to Rs 16,945 crore, which was Rs 14,759 crore in the same period a year ago.
