Lupin
Pharma company Lupin’s profit increased by 77 percent to Rs 801 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year 2024-25. This increase has happened on the basis of strong sales in different markets. In the same quarter last year, the company had a profit of Rs 452 crore. Operating income increased to Rs 5600 crore while in the same quarter last year it was Rs 4814 crore.
RIL
Reliance Jio’s share in the country’s total data consumption increased to about 60 percent in the financial year 2023-24. This has been said in the annual report of Reliance Industries. According to the company, Jio’s large investment in next-generation networks and digital technologies will maintain its competitive edge and increase in market share. Jio’s total customer base is 481.8 million, including 108 million 5G users and 12 million fixed broadband users.
National Highways Authority of India (NHPC)
The profit of public sector hydropower company NHPC Limited has increased by about 1 percent to Rs 1108.46 crore in the June quarter of the current financial year. The company’s profit was Rs 1095.38 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. Total income has increased to Rs 3037.92 crore in the June quarter, which was Rs 3010.22 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.
Tata Power
Tata Power and Bhutan-based Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC) have partnered to develop a hydropower project at an estimated cost of Rs 6,900 crore. Tata Power said in a statement on Wednesday that the 600 MW Khorlochu Hydropower Project will be built on the Kholongchu River in eastern Bhutan. The company said that the clean energy generated from the project will help meet Bhutan’s growing power needs.
Fortis Healthcare
Fortis Healthcare’s profit increased by 40 per cent to Rs 174 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year 2024-25. It has been helped by strong performance in the hospital business. The leading company in the healthcare sector had reported a profit of Rs 124 crore in the first (April-June) quarter of the last financial year 2023-24. Operating income increased to Rs 1,859 crore from Rs 1657 crore in the same period last year.
